ZZP Brake Kit? Encore rotors with C5 calipers?

I've read around and it seems like the ZZP Big brake kit may use C5 corvette dual piston calipers. Anyone got a ZZP brake kit? Curious what the part numbers on the calipers show. I've also seen a few complaints they don't like the quality of the kit. The encore rotors, and calipers have been proven bolt on but I was thinking what if the rotors could be used with the C5 Calipers and brackets?

Just a thought.

I THINK I have one at home (bought here online, only ZZP makes a kit???) I have a kit, just not 100% it's ZZP..

Calipers from the ZZP kit are from a 4th Camaro SS I believe. The C5 calipers are a popular upgrade with the Camaro crowd

unless they upgraded them, they're single piston regular calipers. I didn't have a list of any part numbers, but here's some pics..

I just picked up a set of ZZP's big breaks this past black friday and they are dual piston.

The part number is 18043189.

Sadly, that number looks like a GM part code but I can't seem to match it up. I checked out on Rockauto.com and found parts AC Delco 18FR1583, 18FR1582 for about $60 a piece the Corvette calipers are way more expensive. I got a friends 1995 V6 Camaro I got access to, I will need to pull a wheel and check to see if its got dual piston calipers.

I could be wrong about this, but if you've got a C5 front brake caliper it should say Corvette on it. The front calipers on a C5 are dual piston, the rears are single with no lettering. If you want a Z06 caliper, the only difference is the color and brake pads if they are included, usually not.

Just to add a comment, lots of HSV's in Australia have used Corvette calipers as a factory upgrade & none of those say Corvette on them.

Just to add to this small thread, all Corvette front two piston calipers say "Corvette" on them. However they are made in Australia so maybe there you can buy them without the lettering. Since I'm also a Vette owner I think it would be pretty cool with them saying Corvette on my Sonic. Does that actually work or do you need to make any mod to fit them?
