Cannot log Transmission temperature in Torque Pro

I have been trying to get a readout of transmission temperature, preferably fluid temperature, in Torque Pro, and can't get any of it. Nada. No "Method 1" numbers (fe1805); no "Method 2" (b4) and not even a listing for "Transmission fluid temperature." I ran the scanner in torque pro, I then tried to specifically scan the code (fe1805) but the phone said I needed to change plugin permissions for the app, which the Samsung OS appears to have no menu from which to do, and I'm skunked.

Any suggestions? As things stand I'm not even sure a Scangauge would work.

I don't believe our trannys have a temp sensor, hence why preloader had to fab one up from scratch. But I do believe he has his for sale, look trough the classified section.

I was able to get it to come up for me, but it always reported the same temperature as the engine coolant. I just thought it was because the trans lines run through the radiator. I could be wrong as I often am. I just changed it out to another display. Don't know if this helps or not.

Thanks for the tip but I don't think that's going to work. His has been customized for an M32 manual; mine is a 6T40 auto. Unless the drain holes are precisely the same size and thread there's no chance . . .

EDIT: Preloader noted in his earlier thread that the automatic transmissions on the Sonic have a factory sensor; the M32 for which he adapted his hardware does not. So it's definitely a matter of getting the instrumentation to read it.

What do you mean by changing it out to another display?

Finally found a specific panel for "transmission fluid temperature". Will give it a shot this weekend. Put in both methods just to be sure but I think the two "methods" are actually a) the GM standard code for most transmissions and b) the GM code for transmissions from a specific outside vendor.

Works! The standard (1st) method works for the auto Sonic with Torque Pro. "Transmission temperature" does nothing but "Transmission fluid temp" brings up the information, in one degree celsius increments. And for its first run, a couple of miles to pick up some takeout food, it really didn't get very warm at all in spite of some awful traffic -- 57 celsius, I think.
