15-20k miles is a good amount with these trans. I spoke on the phone with Warren at WG Motorworks in the UK when I was looking for M32 rebuild parts, he told me in 2010-2012 GM was sending out M32's with cheaper bearings than older models with Timken.
2013+ GM moved back to Timken when the case cover was redesigned and added a few other things. He's extremely knowledgeable, give him a call to see the best newer year model for a used M32.
M32 Gearbox Repairs ? WG Motorworks
The case cover has a sealant but doesn't look like a regular high temp RTV used on most manual transmissions, so I've been hesitant to pull the cover and reseal it. When I drained the fluid maybe a quart came out, pretty sure the leaking cover has been there a while and is now worse with more fluid in the trans, it gets really hot. Going to call Warren next week for his recommended sealant for the cover.
