Default Switching to stock tune...

I have 62,000 miles on my car and I'm warranted through 106,000. Should I switch it back to the stock tune when I take it to the dealer? Will I be able to do that easily?

I only flash back to stock if its going in for some repairs that might involve connecting to the computer. But for oil changes, suspension parts, general maintenance, I don't worry about it. Easy enough to go back using the app to flash back to stock. Just takes about 20 min.

So it is easily done? I've heard of dealerships flashing the computer for routine maintenance under the excuse of making sure the car has the latest updates.

Yes, it is easy if you have all the required items. Red cable, laptop, and appropriate software. In almost 100k miles though, my dealer has never done such a thing that I'm aware of. Never gotten my car back "de-tuned" lol

That literally does not happen...

Why would a dealership cost themselves labor hours to flash an ecm for thirty minutes?

Unless a customer identified something that would require such work, they legally can't do unauthorized repairs
