I have let loose on a few people over the last few years. I try not to since I really shouldnt. I suspect a few people assume I may live up to one of my nicknames if I flip on someone. That wont happen though.
I have expected standards and tolerance levels that are usually fairly reasonable, but when I work too much those levels change. Im thinking that I need a week or two in the fall before I burn out.
Part of the problem is the GF I have to work for. He is a hack and expects hack work from his journeyman. I cant do that easily and its driving me nuts trying to install a job correctly with minimal information, almost the correct shop supplied tools, minimal material, and constant bird dogging to make sure I hack it in. I am a trained, licensed, and somewhat skilled journeyman (Always learn new things on the job) yet I am not allowed to do the job I am there to do. Some bosses will provide all the information you could possibly need, get any tool needed, order whatever material is required for the job, and actually let you do what you are there to do without bird dogging.
I was scolded for using supports (no where near what should have been there even) on a pipe rack so that it wouldnt flop around if touched. After being told to stop, I continued to install them. The supports were minimal and only a half ass fix to try and make it look like professionals did the job. Im still not happy with how the pipe rack is, but its not flapping in the breeze. After everything was all done I was given a backhanded compliment about how it helps even though I was told to not do it.
