LOL! It seemed like the thing to do. He said it would take him an hour to see what was out there so, you know... why rush lol. The weird thing is, I think it worked to sell me on the car.
I had been test driving a few cars by the time I got into the Sonic. Do they still let you take a car overnight? At one time that was a big thing in the car sales business - letting you take the car home for a day.
They call it "puppy dogging." It's a tactic they used to sell you the car, because 9/10 when you take a car home you will buy it.

Buying a new car in stick, not having driven a stick in years takes a bit of getting used to, but on day three in the darkness of the Kansas night... I wrung out this little beast for a bit! 
What a blast! I don't think I have ever owned a car with more torque than Hp before... maybe that's what's making this car so fun to drive - not sure, but it's still got the new car glow lol.
Booked an appointment for tinting on Friday - Thanks oldertech for the recommendation.
Now I just have to figure out what % I want - though the man here says 35% is the darkest I can go.

You can put darker, but I wouldn't go darker than 20% if you want to avoid the police.

That depends on your state laws.
In most places you can have the rear windows as dark as you want but the front either have to be lightly tinted or it's illegal to do at all.
I did 20% on my rears, it's in my thread.

^ I think *all* cars should be able to have 20% everywhere but the windshield.
Tint isn't a problem for officers, even at night as long as you turn on your interior light. (Roll down the windows if your light is blown out)
I do it for officers anytime I'm pulled over because it's my job to make them feel safe when they're just doing their job.
It's practically see-through at night when interior lights are on.

Hey Drifter, I just wanted to let you know by letting your XM Service Die out and not renew before its due up, you will get offered a great deal. I let mine die out and i got within a week or so an offer from them in the mail for 50% off a full years price. Plan on getting it renewed here shortly once i get the time to contact them. Congrats on your new ride man! The White Paint is awsome on these Sonic's. I fell in love with mine the moment i saw it. I just need to get the money saved up to get the rest of the body kit for it then it will look even better! oh and get the stock rims painted. In due time... Have fun with your Sonic man!

Thanks Angel! I will let it die as you say, but it'll be killer lol. I haven't even programmed a single local station in. I really like XM.
BTW, I have looked at your car many a time for inspiration lol. Improving the stereo with some kind of amp or something is a must. Now that I am getting used to the car, and don't need to listen to the engine as much for shifts, I note the stereo really needs to be louder... allot louder!
Like you say, "all in good time." I plan on keeping the car for as long as possible so no rush.

By Far YES the Stock Stereo needs upgraded for Sure!! I plan on getting me a nice 8" Polk Subwoofer and having it installed via a In-Line Converter to the Stock headunit to improve my sound system. It just lacks bass so that should give it plenty without being overkill. I got a nice quote at my local Audio Store i can trust to get the job done for $310.00 or less depending if they have a sale going on at the time i go in to have it done.
I plan on doing it sometime next spring likely when i get my tax return back. Exhaust, Sound system and Window tinting is on my agenda for my tax return next spring!!
Plan on putting a light tint on my tail lights next week to make them a little darker and adding a medium-light tint to the Corner Turn signals by the headlights to blend them in better. Thats if all goes well and the weather is nice to me. Its a work in progress. Have fun with your sonic. I sure am with mine!

Well guys, I had the windows tinted! I think it looks great. Got the sides and back all done in 35%. Oh, and the front eyebrow as well.
Was going to do the tires next, but this weak stereo is already getting on my nerves lol - so i am thinking that'll be next months thing to "get done."
