Can you show me where you got this, so I can take this info to the dealership?

The dealer can print out another Window Sticker for you, at least they printed an extra one for me for another car several years ago and it seems if it could be done then it should be able to be done now.

Hahaha. My eyes were burning looking at the stock shifter. One day there will be a short shifter with included knob and I won't have to sell my soul to have it.

Tell them to look up the VIN in the Vehicle Information System. It will give a list of all the important RPOs (paint code included) for your car. It also shows all dealer repairs and any recalls, campaigns, or TSBs related to your car. It takes about 5 seconds unless the are on dial up .

Tell the dealer to put the Vin # in the Vin Inquiry System and Print off the Build sheet.

And even on dial up, it shouldn't take more than a minute.

This is exactly correct -- Built 4/12 and became a GM vehicle, later sold at auction 8/12. So technically used, though basically still brand new. Better for me.

Didn't know it went to Walt Disney Test Track though, cool info. I'll have to see if I can find pics of it on display there!


I'm planning on swinging by the dealership on Friday, so I'll have them pull up the VIS info with the VIN number.

With all this info you keep finding, though, does this mean YOU have access to the VIS? If so, couldn't you just send me scans of the info sheets?



Re: Walt Disney Test Track ... I remember now, they have an area after the ride where GM displays a bunch of their new cars, so it was probably on display in this area. VERY cool. I need to find someone's vacation photos! lol

I avoid repeating myself in so obvious a manner, but it seems to me if the original poster really wants to know, all that needs to be done is drop by the dealer and get the Window Sticker. Here we are talking about CGM, which is as close to a non-color as I can imagine, as compared to some off the wall version of blue, which may not even be blue as far as I can tell - just go get a copy made of the Window Sticker please.

And, finally, what difference does it make?
