Main question, if I put the shifter to M, will I see any improvements on my mpg? Second being, when I put it in M is it better or worse for my car in any way?

I have the 1.8L and I was wondering what are some easy/cheap parts I can put on to increase hp and mpg. Maybe a cat back, glass pack, k&n or a cai? or will those not make a difference at all since I don't have a turbo?

Let me just say, 100% impressed. Feels great, drives great, and looks great! Amazing gas milage! I am a sonic nut now! When I sat down in the sonic I just felt like I was in a sports car! really just blown away!
