    Cooling system issue

    Big Lee. can you go into more detail about the "Big 3" cooling system mods? I'm sick of the overheating issues in my 1.4 turbo. I understand the colder thermostat swap and the lower pressure cap. How do I effect the supposed 3 speed fan system so it comes on earlier and/or more reliably?

    how many miles before your first brake job?

    I was at 88.000 miles in my 2013 1.4 hatchback. I figured I was way past due for brake pads so I bought a set, pulled the caliper to do the swap and the original pads still had 50% left compared to the new ones. I just left them on.

    Is the 1.4 turbo a direct injection engine?

    Is carbon build up a problem? Will a sea foam treatment in the intake (sucked into a vacuum line) clean it out? Will a catch can help keep it clean?
