100K mileage maintenance

I am coming up on my 100K maintenance for my 2014 1.4 LTZ. Anything major I need to do?

Thinking about changing the transmission fluid, seems easy enough to do at home.

I am occasionally getting a P0442 code (every other week or so) and clear it. I also just ordered a kit to replace my PCV so while there I will replace the purge valve solenoid. Hopefully fix that as well.

I recently changed my spark plugs with iridium's. I have a loudish ticky idle and some jerking/surging while at a stop, so hoping the PCV will fix that. I really want the sonic to get me another 2-3 years ~40K miles before I need to trade it or dump some heavy coin into it.

Honestly I would have a trip check done?

But you may want to check the coolant reservoir tank and the battery (if it's the factory one) those went bad on me at 104k.

My factory turbo was replaced at 174,143 miles on my 2013 LTZ (tuned for 112,143 miles)

What do you mean trip check?

Good idea on the battery, they seem to go out at the worst possible time, I have noticed it taking a bit more to crank as well, but again, could be my purge valve.

I am running a BNR tune with a cold air intake, nothing special, actually wanted to to eek out a little better MPG. I've had it for about 60k miles as well.

Whenever we go to my mother in law's (which is about 1400 miles round trip) I have the dealership go over the car so I don't have any sudden SURPRISES pop up. So I guess by that it would be fluids, check belts etc

Update, replaced my purge solenoid to see if it would help anything and it didn't. I received my PCV fix kit yesterday so am going to try to fix it this weekend.

Not a major maintenance item but cabin filters seem to be something most people don’t pay attention too. And they can get nasty with a ton of miles.

Are you running original coils? I would replace whether indicated or not. Very cheap, easy and fast.

1.4 has a popular aftermarket option, I would tend to go with that. I don't think it requires a tune, totally OEM compatible, but a bit hotter spark. MSD. I'm a 1.8l so went went with a Delphi unit for about $68.

Remember, Chevy doesn't make components, don't get hung up on OEM. Though AC/Delco, Remy, Delphi are offshoots of GMC and were sold off. They, along with MSD, Bosche, NGK, etc are well respected reliable buys.
