Air silencer?

I have a 1.8L sedan and I was wondering where the air silencer is. It's blocking up my gains lol and should I rempve that or buy a CAI? I was thinking of getting a Weapon-R intake.

Removing the air silencer really does not do much.

You loose a couple of pounds of weight from the car, not too mention your patience taking it off the car.

How is it "blocking up your gains"? Given the size of the throttle body, I doubt the ducting to the air filter is restricting a whole lot.
