So I took out the old bluetooth OBDII connector and bought the Torque app for my new phone. I install it, hook up the connector...and it tells me the phone is bluetooth enabled, which means it's not a phone compatibility issue, but it says it is not connected to the adapter, and "can the adapter talk OK to the vehicle ECU? No." This is very disappointing. I suppose I should have realized this was likely the case when I saw that nearly everybody here has either the scangauge or the ultragauge. I has a disappointment. This would have been absolutely perfect to use, with a coolant temp gauge and instant MPG readout among other things I'll have to pay $75 for with the ultragauge
Sorry for the vent.
Is this because we don't have an "ECU," and instead the function of the ECU is broken down into various things including the ECM?
