any good resonator

well iam been looking a some resonator for a custom system

Iam going to be catless downpipe and catless on the testpipe

Thinging of a nice 2.5 inch resonator with 2.5 inch piping
But hoping it wont be to loud

I'm not sure how bad the drone will be. I know Stratton had issued with it, but maybe you won't be too sensitive.

IIRC the best resonator to use sound wise will always bee the stock one. It's tuned for our motors to bounce specific sound waves against each other to cancel them out. unless someone takes the time to R&D something like chevy did it will end up with a drone.

I'm riding with no res or muff. I tried first with just res no muff, but it was way too quiet.
I don't mind the drone so far, but I read that welding in a glasspack in place of the stock resonator provided good results.

I've always had good luck with magnaflow mufflers eliminating the annoying drone. Did it on the turbo supra and the CR Cummins. I like the mellow yet tuff sound thats just right for a grown up kid, not ricey like some.

I think the glasspack will be quieter than the resonator. I'm running a glasspack in place of my stock muffler and it's too quiet. It will be coming out soon.

While the res is supposed to eliminate a specific frequency from the exhaust, it also cuts down the loudness considerably. If you inspect it, you'll see it's design is just like a straight through muffler.

If you already have a glasspack in place of the muffler, I suggest just deleting the res. It will get louder if what you've got is too quiet.

When I cut the muff off, I fired it up and it barely made a difference. Then when I cut the res, it was twice as loud.
