I have been having issues where my doors are locking automatically whenever I open my door from the inside, or if I close it from the outside; either of them is sporadic. I am thinking it is having to do with the fact that I need to change the Auto Lock Out Prevention settings through the Config menu. The issue is, I had a JVC Kenwood M750BT installed into my Sonic LS last month by the Geek Squad, and I do not think it is possible any longer to access my OEM settings as I am using an aftermarket radio. Does anyone know if there is another way I can work around this, if I cannot access my OEM config menu?

If it auto locks whenever the door switch is pressed, I would try replacing the door latch/actuator.
I dealt with that for a few months, and a new latch fixed it for me.

I'm not pressing any switches, it's just when I lift the door latch from the inside as I'm exiting the car. Also, actuator -- that is something I have been seeing quite a few times. I'm a newb with automotive stuff, so forgive my lack of knowledge regarding certain things. Is it possible that the dealership would be able to resolve this issue for me?

The door switch is inside the latch assembly. Thats how your car knows when there is a door open. A GM brand latch costs $130, or off brand costs $40 (I got the cheap one).

I would order the part and take it to a independent mechanic for install. Its a pretty easy job, no reason to pay dealer prices for that.
