Big 3 or 4 upgrade help

Need help installing the big 3 on my 1.4 turbo. Where is the engine grounded to? And can I just add the new wire somewhere else and make my own ground? Looks like the engine ground is wrapped up with other wires. I’m not really trying to undo all of that. Just looking to upgrade for better voltage. Any help or pictures would be great. Thanks!

Thanks man. After watching tons of videos I figured it out. And that link helped too. I guess it just took a minute to realize what I was doing

My lights are definitely brighter and my stereo is crisper and louder. And no more flickering or dimming when I slow down. Other than that it’s hard to tell. People have said they had better throttle response and quicker starting but it’s hard to tell all that cuz I’ve recently done quite a few mods to improve all that already. Cold air intake, high voltage coil pack, down pipe and exhaust, intercooler.

I just told a guy to do it cuz he was talking about subs and speakers. I haven’t done it yet. My rate in Navy was Electricians Mate. Plus I know my cars. Today I have a CDL and drive a truck. This is probably an upgrade that should be done stock. Most these econobox cars don’t run big electrical systems and they skimp on wiring to save money. BMWs lol huge electrical systems the Sonics is kinda laughable. You’ll probably notice minor differences full circle. The car has it quirks. But if you start upgrading things your gonna need this. For $40 bucks I’d do it. It’s a 12 volt system so odds are the stock stereo probably will get a bit better with volume and the electric power steering might be a bit softer. Worst case no noticeable improvement. More reliability and easier starts in cold weather. For $45 bucks it’s worth it cuz you will push more volts.

If you run HIDs. It’s going to be needed. LEDs less likely.
