BNR Tune

I'd like to start off by thanking Jerry for his excellent customer service and amazing tunes and his patience. I have a 2013 Sonic LT with the 1.4 turbo 6 speed manual. I started modding my car pretty much the day after I bought it. I started with the trifecta tune. I then added a ZZP intake, and later on that year, I added a ZZP catback exhaust. I switched to the BNR tune before Christmas and I have never looked back at trifecta.

While I did get good power results from the trifecta tune. It was not consistent, and would fall on its face in the higher RPM's. The BNR tune is solid, smooth and continues to hold power thru to the higher RPM's then falls off gradually, as it should, and not all at once. With this tune the engine runs the way it should have all along.

Jerry has outstanding customer service. He responds to my questions in a timely manner either via email or social media, he listens to your requests to work with you on getting your tune to where you want it. He is not a one and done tuner, he provides a tuning service rather than just a tune. I have had to send him several logs to get my tune dialed in correctly for my car.

I will be upgrading my injectors to 42lb for E85 soon, and I have asked Jerry about the process and he said that when I do, to let him know and he will tune for them, and also tune for the E85 if I want to run E85 or upgrade to flex fuel kit. (Yes I know that I will have to either drain my tank of the 93 before I run the E85or get the flex fuel it.)

I ordered my bnr tune yesterday for my car. I'm excited to get it. I only have an intake so far but plan on getting an exhaust as well.

BNR can do some fantastic things with these cars. I firmly believe that their tuning is what has saved my 1.4 for as long as it has. The previous tune did a lot of damage. Fuel does not make for a good lubricant in a gas engine. BNR corrected that issue with a tune of their own over the crap that was in it when i purchased the car.

I find his customer service lacking recently. Several emails, messages and posts on facebook and no reply. I guess he is busy with all the tax return stuff, and im sure his tune will be great whenever I get mine tuned properly but as of right now he's on the level of trifecta's customer service. I was having trouble right off the bat with the BNR tune, he did help me get that solved after bugging him. I'm not trying to bash BNR i'm just telling my experience and I wouldn't make it up just to bad mouth them. I switched because I heard about the excellent customer service and how the tune is so much better but honestly neither has came true just yet.

But I am seeing better numbers on my ultra gauge as far as HP and torque goes, not sure if its accurate though, but its been a rough ride getting there. Also let me just say I wouldn't spend 550 just to bash someones company and I still hold hope.

I will also add that I had a recent issue with our email client randomly marking emails as read when they weren't. I'm at around 4-5 business day turn around time right now (for non-urgent log review). If you haven't heard from me and it's been longer than that, please re-email.

Ordered my 42lb injectors on Friday evening, shipped out monday, and they will be delivered today. I will submit a request for a tune when they arrive.Thanks Jerry, I can't wait for the power!

Keep us updated. I ordered a tune last Thursday and got notification they just now shipped. I'd be interested to see how the 42s do. Haven't looked into them too much.....yet

I can't wait to see if Jerry can get me more torque. I max out at 200 not even at full throttle or at-least thats what the ultraguage says.

Will do, I hope to get them installed this weekend, and finish out my tank of 93. Then I'll fill up with e85. I would really like to get on the dyno and do a before and after, but dyno time is pricey.

Injectors installed, 93 tune flashed, data logged and updated. Car is running great on the 42's. Now I just need to finish out my tank of 93 so I can get some e85 in it.

I have been running e85 for a few weeks now, and with every revision of the tune, it just gets better. I am starting out slow with the tune and adding power a little at a time. But as of now I am extremely happy with my tune and hey I get to fill up for less than $20 when empty. So I got that going for me, which is nice. Thanks Jerry, BNR Rocks!

Why did I wait so long to do this? I have no answer, Jerry has me dialed in and the car is running great and safe. U am looking to get on the Dyno with it soon. When I do I will post my Dyno sheet here.
