Brake Pad testing

Just wanted to start off the conversation on some of the testing we are doing with the 1.4L test car we have here. We are very rough on brakes here and always like to have some upgrade paths for everyone and be able to give feedback to what pad choice works best in a particular case.

So far we have tested the following pads on the car:

- Stock
- EBC Greens
- Carbotech 1521
- Hawk HPS

We have finished up all of the testing, except for the final test on the Hawk pads, which should be done this Saturday. Once all of the testing is finished I will put up our impressions of each pad and some other feedback along with the test results. All of these pads are able to be ordered for the 1.4L and the 1.8L and will be going up on the site soon. (Carbotech's are up already)

I've always liked EBC Green's, haven't had much experience with the others though. I look forward to your test results!

Any pads that will survive track days? Hawk HP+? I'm doing my second track day on the stock pads...I have a feeling I'll need new pads soon.

There are Hawk DTC-60 pads available from us now and also the Carbotech AX-6 would do well on track days. We are working on the HP+ pads and should have them ready soon.
