I am wanting to upgrade the head unit in my 2015 Sonic LTZ hatchback with a Pioneer 4700 HU but I want to keep the ability to adjust the car settings such as the auto headlight timeout duration or if just the driver door unlocks or all the doors unlock when I use the remote. I know there are more settings in there but I can't think of them right now. I also want to retain the SWC and maybe the factory BT but Onstar is not a big deal to me. I was looking at the trim kit that comes with the electronics to keep the vehicle chimes but it didn't mention much on the settings. I know that there is a seperate LCD screen you have to get to maintain some settings but I want to know if there is a kit out there that will let me retain all the settings adjustments or as much as possible. A friend of mine is an A/V distributor and he contacted Metra about the kit and they didn't have an answer for him. Has anyone done this already and retained the ability to change settings and if so which trim kit or electronics worked.

i'll be watching this post because I have the same questions and few answers. I have contacted PAC, and a few other companies and they don't list the 2014/15 Sonic. At first I though the wiring harness may have changed from the 2012 which there seems to be more info on, but as I dig for more info I believe the harness is the same. It should be I think GM would be to cheap to change the harness and it would be counter productive 2/3 years into the production cycle. There is a Shop in Parma or brookpark Ohio called Groundquake that claims to have a harness that will let you keep everything, voice prompts, rear camera, warning chimes, onstar and swc. I'll call them this morning and get back to you. As far as the vehicle settings go I saw a module posted on this forum but when I followed the link it was discontinued. Hopefully somebody knows of another.:sadbanana:
