Change to the Stage 1 kit.

So, about a week ago, I ordered the Stage 1 BNR kit, which included a trifecta red cable and an Elite tune.

Now, its changed to this:
Stage Kits

and claims of 60 lb/ft above stock.

Why the change? Did I get the shaft? I'd have much rather had the EFI live tuner.

Since it is a BNR branded "product" we decided that it should be offered with BNR tuning. We were in the process of changing it right when you ordered it it looks like. Have you received your tune yet?

Looking to buy this kit. Is it safe to run extra boost with factory exhaust. I don't like the 4 cylinder sound. But if it's worth it I would do the down pipe and mid pipe

Yes, absolutely. Our tuning has been validated with hundreds of hours of dyno tuning for all combinations of stock and aftermarket parts.

How much more the would I get if I did do the down pipe and mid pipe with that efilive tune

realistically maybe 7-10HP/TQ with both. Turbo would spool quicker and it would sound good though.

I'll hi-jack this thread since it is directly relevant and BNR not Trifecta have responded to me about getting shafted on my Trifecta tune.

I ordered my Stage 1 kit two weeks ago, the Trifecta tune is JUNK, car won't run/ I've been getting middle-manned by Trifecta (who will not provide a phone number to discuss the problem.)

Tune is junk, AND the "stock" tune they supplied is junk, it's not a stock tune, and it doesn't run properly.

I want the new tune that you are putting out!

I spent $1,800 on parts specifically getting EVERYTHING from BNRacing due to the huge rally of support from this board, and others.

My car has under 250 miles on it and CAN'T BE DRIVEN with the Trifecta "modded" tune or "stock" tune.

Please call me or let me know what you can do! I'm a shop owner, and sourced my parts from ya'll so in the future I would have a standing relationship because the Sonic's/Cruzes are getting modded all over the place and we have a large crowd needing the support from our facility. We would like to be able to provide that!

Modded tune i would expect issues. Now when you ran the "stock" tune, was your car completely back to stock form(aka original intake/ex etc that you may have upgraded)?

They stepped up to the plate. BIG TIME.

I'm happy. and I will be purchasing their tunes for my guests now knowing how easy it was to get things adjusted once in contact with the right people.

BNR as a middle man just seems like a poor business venture (I went through a similar issue with a driveshaft rebuilder years ago.) I appreciate both businesses for what they do, but in the future I will contact Trifecta directly.

What ended up being the problem? We can't look at, adjust, or modify anything with Trifecta tunes. For their solution we have to contact them, just like you do. I'm glad you're happy that its up and running, but I'm curious to know what the issue was.

BNR is a "middle man" and a lot of things are out of their control. Those at BNR are also very busy. They can not answer every question and solve every issue within 10 minutes. BNR also has no direct control over fixing any Trifecta tune issues.

I ordered my tune through BNR quite a while ago ( I think, it was a long time ago...) and when I started having issues I went directly to Trifecta for support. Response times were slow and what I received back was worse than what my issue was to begin with.

Hopefully they give you honest support and updates. I have my doubts about the long term (even short term actually) as far as them holding up their end of the deal though. Best of luck with Trifecta.

Went to load my tune, and found that my cable is bad. It simply would not communicate with the car. Thankfully, I had my old tactrix box from when I tuned my dad's Cruze a few years ago. Any chance of me getting a new cable from you, or should I go to Trifecta?

Cable is good, check drivers and try a different version of ezflash. Lots of people have had that problem recently
