Hey all;
I am the first owner of my vehicle. I purchased it from an authorized dealer in 2014. I used it without any problems until 2021-2022. During the winter of 2021-2022, I was involved in an accident. An old vehicle driven by an elderly man hit my vehicle on the left fender. After that, I had my car repaired, and that's when my problems began.
My car is a 2013 model Chevrolet Aveo T300 1.3D 75HP Sedan.
Only in winter, when the car has been parked outside for a long time, when I turn on the ignition,
I experience steering stiffness. The steering does not stiffen when the car is moving and there is no malfunction. Only when the car is left in cold weather does the steering stiffen on the first start. It's hard to turn, and the steering fault light comes on. I don't have any problems in the summer.
When I connect it to OBD and check, I see the codes U0131 in the BODY section and C056D in the STEERING section. Very rarely, I get the code B0257B (03).
I took the car to an authorized service center. I took it to a mechanic. I took it to a mechanic who repairs power steering systems. Each one said something different. I'm very confused.
The authorized service center said there was a problem with the steering column.
The mechanic said there was a problem with the vehicle's wiring.
The electric steering repairman said there was a problem with the BCM.
Thank you for your help.
