I guess maybe I'm just finally getting old, but these increasingly zany stunts seem a little bizarre to me. Maybe it feels a bit too much like your old socially-awkward uncle trying to fit in with the "hip" current generation...

It is nice to see GM really *trying* where this launch is concerned though. Seems like they're going all-out with the Sonic where they didn't have to with the Camaro, and for most of their previous models in recent memory, didn't bother.

That reminded me, Chevy had over 14,000 5th Gen Camaro pre-orders (orders made before the March 15 start of production) BEFORE they started production. So I guess you are right, they didn't have to for the Camaro.
