Chips in windshield

I have had my sonic for four days and already there are two small chips in the windshield! I realize that this is something that happens from driving and being on the road but it just seemed really quick to already have two chips. Has anyone else had this problem? I plan on getting my insurance to send someone out to repair it for free but was just a little upset that it happened so soon after buying the vehicle!

I won't lie. I've had my car like 20 days and its already getting pretty owned by rock chips on the bumper cover and a couple on the windshield. And people can say whatever they want on here, but my wifes now 3yr old Yaris has been driven under identical conditions and isn't taking it this hard.

Otherwise I've been very happy with the car.

I'll agree that poor paint jobs or quality on some cars may contribute to paint chips happening easier than on other cars, but as far as the glass goes, you can't blame that on anything other than bad luck.

Please don't take this as argumentive, but I'm sure many people would agree often replacment windshields are often lower quality and chip and "sand blast" easier than the original. The sand blasting is what I hate most.... hard to see at night.

I'm not saying the windshield in my Sonic is of low quality, but compared to my current fleet of vehicles its taking things pretty hard

Don't feel bad..
Mine was 3 days old with less than 500 miles on it and I had a rock bounce off the windshield...

I also have quite a few stone chips as well... WAY more than my last car and it had 150,000 miles on it..

....nope... $500 deductible....

I had it "fixed" so at least it won't spread. I'll replace it once it gets pitted..
