Clearing O2 sensor codes help?

Hi, I searched the forums but I didn't come across anything that really answered my question. I called a buddy of mine who said he could clear codes caused by taking off the cat/disconnecting O2 sensors. Has anyone done it that way? I hear people have done turbo back exhaust and got a tune for their car but I was wondering if anyone took it to a mechanic and simply got the codes cleared? If so, did it work? Did your check engine light come back on? Does your car run as good as it should? Thank you

You can simply clear the codes but they will come back. Trifecta allows you to turn of the problem codes and will not throw a cel

I'm sure I read a post on a very similar topic somewhere. You cannot just disconnect the O2 sensor. You get some kind of problem with that. Don't remember what that is though.

Either have the O2 sensor turned off through a tune or use a O2 defouler which will allow a stock tune and no cats (removes the sensor from the exhaust stream). If you keep clearing the codes your car will keep popping the codes as well as go into limp mode which will reduce your engine power output until cleared.
