Coilover install ?

Been searching the forums and can't find exactly what I'm looking for. I installed Coilovers on my cruze when i had it, but front struts are just a tad different on the sonic.

I have CX Racing Coilovers waiting to install in April. I plan to buy new top hats so i don't have to disassemble the stock struts, did i just need the top hats and the nut from GM, or is their another part that goes on before the top hat? Hard to tell from the schematic on gmpartsdirect.com

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

#8 and #9 I know I need to order.

Do I need #10 as well? Its listed as:

If I remember correctly, that part is easily reusable, not needing to compress springs to get the Top Mount off. #10 is the black piece you can see from the cowl that seats the strut correct?

Yea, but is it just 8 and 9 that require the springs to be clamped to be removed?

I don't have coils but when I upgraded end links I guess I didn't tighten one because i was in a hurry and kept hearing a loud clunk on one side only. tightened it and like magic, nice sweet car sound on road after that. Nothing can ever be too tight as long as it's stainless steel

Thanks man, tightened em sound is very minimal now.

When doing the end links, i find it best to lift entire front end off the ground so there is no tension on the sway bar.
