Convince me to buy the Sonic RS instead of Dart Limited

I got myself down to two cars the sonic and the dart. So why should I get the sonic?

mmmm the RS is cheaper and the Dart's audio config can drive the price into orbit.
The RS is smaller if you're going for that.
I don't like Fiat and it's nice that the RS is built in the US.

The price is deff a factor, the good sound system/touch screen ads about 2500,but it is a full 7.1 surround sound dvd.

The Sonic's platform is a joint design by Opel and Fiat. The Dart platform is an all Fiat Design. The Dart is built in Belvidere, Illinois. Doh!

Nice! The dart will have a turbo manual real soon . I would get both fully loaded so the price point is one of the biggest differences. Wish the sonic had a push button start. Second year of production is a bonus

You are not going to get many pro Dodge comments on a Chevy Sonic forum. I would drive both and make your own decision. If I had to do it over, now that the Dart is available, it would be a tougher decision. I am somewhat (not terribly) disappointed in the Sonic's performance.

I don't know anything about the Dodge, But i'm lovin' my sonic. I did Intake ,Exhaust,and a tune and I have a rocketship go kart that flies . This thing is fun to drive. Fast Fred

i havent driven the dart yet, but i dont really feel like theyre two cars to compare. if youre looking at the dart you should probably be comparing it to the cruze as far as size goes, in which case id probably take the dart.

The sonic rs though, is about 600 pounds lighter, a bit smaller, and id say it handles better. could be wrong but id put my money on it.

The dart may have more standard horsepower but the weight is going to hold it back and i feel like the aftermarket for the 1.4t chevy is going to be great in the near future.

Id wait for both to come out (my dealership is expecting rs sonics in mid september) and decide by the drive. pick a road you can take both cars on and see what speaks to you

That was kind of the point, Basically I want reasons the Sonic is a better car.

Well, as mentioned, I think the Dart would compare better to the Cruze. Then, do you want performance or comfort? If you want a peppy go kart, get a Sonic. If you want a peppy boat (when compared to the Sonic), then get the Dart. Just make sure you drive them both, see which one you like, and enjoy the roads.

The front end on the Dart looks HORRIBLE compared to the Sonic, but that's just my opinion. I do quite like the Dart's rear end though.
