Debadging

I was wondering what methods everyone has used to remove the badging on the hatch. I have a 2018 Premiere Hatchback and would like to take all the badging off. I hear a very hot sunny day or hairdryer and dental floss works. Any suggestions are appreciated. I've only had the car since December and it is white so I don't think any fading will be there.

Floss will cut the foam adhesive. You can also try prying (gently) with a plastic auto trim removal tool. Heating with a hot air gun prior to prying will help. In some cases the entire adhesive will come off. I have never been that lucky, so once the foam is cut or torn, an adhesive remover like Goo Gone is applied to the remaining adhesive. A plastic "razor" blade can be used to scrape the adhesive. It took me 3 applications / scraping recently to de-badge one of my vehicles (not a Sonic)

I debadged my 2018 premier.
If you have access to a heat gun it’s soooooooooo easy. I was able to heat them up in like 6 seconds, and peel them off. I used this small $4 bottle of goo gone to clean up the excess adhesive. The turbo and premier badge are aluminum so be careful when peeing them off not to scratch the paint, try and peel them up as one piece, not one side then the other.

Don’t try to take off the Chevy badge. There’s an indent with a hole in the middle about 3/8 big....I made that mistake lol

Thanks! Did exactly what you suggested tonight. Used a hair blower, plenty of heat from it....afraid to try heat gun because I would probably melt the paint...lol Left the bowtie alone.....Lol

Yea, I dipped my bowties on the front and back. Black or matching the car paint color on the gold is super easy.

Had that on the old sonic! I find the black stock bowties have this weird bump texture that vinyl didn’t go on well

Feeling nostalgic over this picture, although I love my premier
