Engine Flush, YES or NO?

Ok guys, after having the turbo replaced last week (thankfully it was under powertrain warranty still) i am worried about it happening again. The oil in the car is a bit sludgy and I dont want it to cause issues again.

So my question is, should I do an engine flush and if the answer is yes, what do you recommend with a turbo? Thanks in Advance.

I used Seafoam the first oil change I did myself after my 2year Maintenance was over and OMG the sludge from the dealer oil

And you did this with a turbo? Also, my dealership changed the oil, but not the filter. So the new oil is going through the old filter. What was the point?

Yea 2015 1.4 Seafoam in the crankcase will do wonders for cleaning the engine run it for about 10/15 miles then change the oil. but dont spray it in the intake it will kill your MAF

wait, so you put the Seafoam in and then drove the car for about 10/15 miles then changed the oil? Or was that supposed to be minutes? LOL.

Ok, cool. Does Seafoam make a certain one for Turbos or are they all the same? Also, did you notice a difference after you did it?

Just the regular one from the auto parts store the engine definitely ran a little smoother

Do you know if they replaced the turbo oil feed line?

That can get pretty clogged and cause issues.

I wouldn't bother with any kind of flush chemical.
Just use quality oil, and change more often than the
OLM says to.
On my sonic and my wife's Trax, I change the oil at~50% on the OLM, and the oil and filter at 0%.
The Sonic has 127K, and the inside of the engine still looks new. Very clean inside...

But if its already sludgy, using quality oil wont do any good unless you get the engine clean.
