First Warranty Stop: Wheel Speed Sensor

About a week ago, my abs and traction control light came on. I thought I heard a faint ticking as I was driving, so I pulled over and hit the OnStar. I was told I had a C0050 code, and needed to go to a dealer whenever I felt like it. I went home and looked up C0050 and it said Right Rear wheel speed sensor circuit fault. I went out and looked, and sure enough, the sensor wire had somehow come unclipped and had rubbed on the inside corner of the wheel until it wore through and shorted. Dealer had to order the part, but they took care of it without any hassle.

Just a FYI in case it happens to anybody else..

Car is a totally stock LT1 1.8L manual HB.

how many miles was this after? might go take a look at all mine soon

About 6200 miles on it when it happened. You can easily see the wire looking thru the front of the open space on the wheel.
