Yeah, big chunk of roof sheeting rolled up in high winds today...fell off the roof along with some bricks, lumber, and odds and ends.
I really hope it's not a total loss but thankfully I have good insurance.
Maybe I can get a blue turbo next.

Woaaa, I cant imagine what you felt when you were walking to your Sonic and saw that…
I remember just the other day I was walking back to my Sonic after work and I saw a bunch of those yellow plastic "caution" strips that looked close to the left front on my Sonic and I was like OHHHH CRAAP NOOOOO PLEASE!!! But it ended up being some part of the concrete that was being fixed close by.

Close calls can be enjoyable. Devestation is not! I'll keep you guys posted with updated pics once the mess is cleaned up. Thankfully the building management is handling that.
The SCARIEST part was that this happened literally 6' away from me (on the other side of the wall) -- I park right behind my computer desk.

Will your insurance cover everything? (Or the building owner's insurance, whichever is applicable)
I'm sure my insurance will cover everything. If not them then via the building owners' insurance. The hard part now is getting a few hundred pounds of asphalt shingles off of my car. Supposedly the management will be sending a restoration company to do that though.

In the car looks like he woulda been fine, but if he was getting out at that exact time I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be posting here anymore.

UPDATE:
The car's finally un-buried. Doesn't appear to be any structural damage, just lots of denting, smashing, and a nice HOLE IN THE SHEET METAL OF THE ROOF from where a brick hit it corner-down.
Anyone have experience with damage like this? Is it repairable? It goes into the shop tomorrow regardless, I'm just praying it's not totaled. I don't have gap coverage.
