I picked up my new 2012 1.8 Manual Yesterday. I Love This Car!, Any suggestions on intakes that will comply with NY Emissions ?

Where in new York are you? I do not think a intake will effect emissions

I agree. NY emissions testing consists of plugging into the OBDII port and checking for codes. Welcome fellow NY'er. I am about 15 miles north of Albany.

Welcome. An intake shouldn't adversely affect emissions. You won't see more power from it without a tune though. How often are emissions tests required in NY state?

Looks like you won't have to worry about emissions until possibly dec 2015, or dec 2014 at the earliest.

edit: although, it does state model year. Maybe next year?

i am in Delaware County which is like 90 miles southwest of Albany, how does tuning affect the warranty? And any one know if intakes also affect warranty? Also any one have any experience with replacing the stock head unit. i know it requires an adapter box that is pricey, just curious as to how difficult the install is.
