anyone else ever wonder about making a heat shield for the zzp intake? Well I'm thinking about making a prototype "cardboard" diagram to get machined at my local sheet metal shop..
I'm going to put a base on it to seal around the stock air duct coming out of the fender area.
I was debating on making it an open or closed top, if its a closed top it would look like the stock box lol. but an open top with weather stripping on top hitting the hood when it shuts would work as well, and later on allow a ram hood induction as well (of course some different design to prevent water from getting in..)
anyway food for thought, comment away, I want to see what you guys think and if anyone else has thought about it...
opcorn:
The reason this sparked my interest is because my intake temps the other night were super high when my friend ran his HPtuner scanner on it for intake temps.. I popped the hood and it droppped 3 degrees instantly lol
