I had the dealership I work at paint them.

Just got the bezels around the headlights and fog lights and the bowtie painted inferno orange. They look sweet!!

Can you ask them if they taped off/painted the chrome bezels on the car, popped them off the headlight assembly, or removed the headlight assembly from the car b4 they taped off/painted? ThanX!

They took the headlights out, then I removed housings that the bezels are attached to. They are screwed on. Then I removed one screw from each chrome piece, then unsnap the four tabs from each one. I, then scuffed each one and then they painted them for me

Thank you for risking your parts to determine how they're assembled. You're the first person to ever comment on how that assembly goes together AFAIK.

What you've done is what I want to do on my IOM HB but I am considering painting over all the black.

I thought about doing that also, but I like the contrast of the orange, black, orange. It would probably be easier to do it that way. The bumper cover actually has to be removed to take the headlights out. I did it while they had the bumper off to replace the front bowtie for delaminating. The bumper cover has to come off for that also.

Your car looks great. I like it. Painting over all the black would look very different. Some of the show Sonics have it all painted over. Thanks for pointing out the bumper removal requirement.

Olnly i would do the trim around the chevy logo orange it a bit to much!

But arround the headlights and fog lights it looks verry verry verry sweet!!

and i still love youre interieur!

Thanks. I don't care for the chrome and I really dislike the gold bowties that they put on every chevrolet. I actually wanted to remove the front and rear bowties, but both have holes under them in the body of the car. The rear has alignment pins. The front has bolts holding it on. This was the closest thing I could do to removing them and having the holes filled in and repainted, which I didn't want to do. No paint holds up as well as the original paint.

I taped it off and used a tube of touch up paint.

Got my orange LED halos today! Hopefully I can get them in next week.

Can you update us on how this went/goes? I want Halos/Angel Eyes but the last kit I found didn't fit Sonics.

I couldn't get the headlight housings to separate. So, that didn't go a planned. As far as removing the bumper. You have to take alot of other pieces off. It takes awhile. Especially, if you've never done anything like that before.

If taken apart the front end of a few cars, just nothing this new....
I guess that will be a project coming as soon as this semester ends.
