How not to get a ticket by the Police (AZ)

So I have been wondering what I can do to my Sonic that won't get me a ticket. I know in AZ (correct me if I'm wrong) you can get 35% tint on the driver and passenger side window. 5% on the back windows and then a strip on the top of the front window. When I was a teenager and stupid in high school I used to have neon on my car but that was with a different car I used to own. To my knowledge having no neon is a great idea. I see a lot of people with the smoked tail lights and headlights. I think it looks cool but I have a feeling the Police can pull you over for that. I could be wrong though. I've seen a few people that have their headlights as yellow/white or even blue (HID) which i know is completely legal. Though I have seen some people with pink/purple (yes I know) headlights. Is that legal in AZ I can't remember?

I would think that the window tint joints would know the law. If they don't, contact law enforcement.

5% is correct for rear and rear passenger, 32% for front and as for the strip just don't go below the AS1 line (I think that's what its called) its on the windshield. But after living here for years and previous experience, they are pretty lenient here I think its because its always so sunny, but if you want to be completely safe those are the laws. My dad has a front strip that is like double the length of the AS1 . And my girlfriends brother has 5% all around his truck......

If you tint your windows with the darkened hopes of deported illegals you can go as dark as you want in AZ.

In the real world, it depends on whether or not they really enforce the silly tint laws. How is enforcement where you live?

Tint shops (at least, in my experience) will tell you what's legal but will sell you what you want, only you have to ask for it. It isn't illegal to sell darker tint.

For example, in Georgia only 35% is legal, but I have 20%. Got pulled over before for unrelated things several times, including Sunday, and not one officer cared about it.

I can't speak for Arizona, but around here unless someone really wants to be a douche to you they won't normally bother you unless it's REALLY noticeable.

35% isn't worth the time, doesn't keep my vehicle cool enough in the summer or block enough glare from people behind me with brights on (next time I'll go 15%!)

I've had 20% for at least 15 yrs, never had an issue except for going through small towns with an out-of-county license plate, since I try not to stand out.
