Also, somebody tell me my car isn't completely worthless because it's the 1.8L and an Automatic Trans at that?

It's not completely worthless. It's the best Auto, N/A, B-segment car you could have chosen.

The 1.8L/Automatic is far from worthless, it's the workhorse of the Sonic family. If I hadn't been open to a manual I would've bought that combination, but I kinda wanted a stick and the turbo was only $700, so that's what I got.
