Looking for advice.

I have a 1.4T sedan. I bought the Injen COA and shifter bushings. I now know the tune is the way to go. I also seen a Forge Motorsports 1.4T Recirculating Bypass Valve and a Forge Motorsports 1.4T Atmospheric Bypass Valve. I am curious as to the difference in them and are they worth the money after I get my tune? Hopefully I will be buying parts at tax time.

Does anyone know if Trifecta or anyone else does a military discount?

FYI I got the COA before I read about the DDMworks one. I have used Injen before with zero issues.

If you want a high quality solid billet piece if aluminum vs a plastic cap and rubber diaphram then the Forge parts are worth the money. They are quality pieces and have performed flawlessly on my cars. The BPV will not need a tune at all, the BOV will. And yes, like Tmo said, the atmo/BOV is kind of loud, the BPV sound pretty much like stock.

The tune is the most important mod as well as your biggest bang for the buck. The BOV/BPV release thread has a ton of BS in it as well as a lot of great info. I prefer the BPV, but that is truly a personal choice, you can ask most here I prefer the quieter side of things.

you could do like fast and furious and run a pipe to the outside of the car and blow girls' skirts up when you hit the gas....that's about the only use i see for a BOV vs a bypass.

you got the intake, and i'm sure you're gonna do exhaust...so why not a BOV too??? more noise for the $$

Only question with a BOV is that the car comes with a bypass so will the BOV mess anything up or hurt my fuel mileage. For me louder is better. As far as exhaust the DDM with resignator and without muffler is the way to go correct?

The BOV does not effect mileage at all, I still recommend the full tune over the budget as well. Under medium to full throttle it's going to get everyone's attention, at light to part throttle you can barely even hear it with the windows up but it's pretty noticeable with them down. The BOV will not hurt anything as long as you have the tune, even then it's not really hurting anything, it's just not fueling right.

There's nothing wrong with DDM at all, it's a high quality exhaust system and DDM recommends the resonator and no muffler for the turbo. To loud for me but it has clearly been stated that I'm old. Right now the exhaust choices are expending quickly, Borla, Flowmaster and Magnaflow have all released cat backs recently, all but the Borla are HB only, but the SLP cat back I'm running is a HB in a sedan and the others can be modified easily and cheaply. Exhaust is a personal choice as well, do your research and pick what you like.

Thanks rdss. I have heard some of the DDM and they sound pretty good but I know borla usually makes a great sounding exhaust also. I just wanted to make sure the BOV wasnt going to mess anything up
