Modified my front bumber

So I modified my front bumper by removing the grille and deleting the part that separates the grille into two parts. I also cut off all the grille connection points so that I could put edge trim on the edge to clean it up.

I'm just looking to see if anyone has any creative ideas to cover the seam where the edge trim meets (pictures attached)

got a three ideas for ya.

1: make it into two pieces (upper and lower portions) and have them meet on the bodyline corners.
2: electrical tape over it. might not be as noticeable
3: put a decal or sticker there?

I think I saw you recently, I think in the Newmarket area. I saw an orange / red Sonic with no grille and thought it looked awkward as hell.

Yeah, I don't know about that mod. Not to be a jerk, but that mod looks a little ghetto imo. What about something like this?

Or see if you can find a similar one in flat black maybe.

If you must leave it that way, maybe something like this in black to go around to see if you can make it look more like a single piece.

This could actually look really good if you got some nice black mesh to put into the grille.

I think you should take off the edge trim completely. Tape off the edges of your cut and throw a coat of black paint to give a finished edge look. That black plastic trim is gonna get heat warped and look terrible.

Thanks for the replies.
I have a sheet of plastic grille mesh in the mail, so it wont just be an open gaping hole.
But this edge trim seems pretty solid.
I might just put my license plate over it and call it a day; but i will see about just making it into two pieces.

I think it could look pretty dope. Just wondering how youll secure the mesh inside and have it conform to the curves... (heat gun) maybe. Lay the bumper face down and heat the mesh until you can shape it?
