Mpfab intake

OK so I just installed my mpfab intake. When I first turned the car on it wouldn't rev past 3000 rpm. I turned it off and back on now it's fine, I stomp it goes. Secondly, its a little laggy in the lower gears till it hits about 2nd gear. 3rd, the turbo sound is amazing! Now I will say I took out the factory air box and all except that baffle thingy by my headlight that goes below it. Any comments? Should I go back in and remove it? Thanks

And for the amsoil filter, how many miles before I have to replace it or care for it?

Some GM cars, not sure about the Sonic, have a rev limiter in park. Is it possible you were in park when you revved the car and it stopped at 3k?

It does it when I'm in park and neutral, and no, before it didnt

It definitely did it before. This is the spark rpm limit table for an auto Sonic. I'm sure there is another table to limit it as well, but you can see here that GM definitely uses a Park/Neutral rev limiter.

The baffle doesn't have anything to do with your other problems.

OK! I wasn't saying for sure it didn't have one I just thought it didn't. Everything's fine now
