Just a quick question to anybody else that uses thumb drives in the USB port...
I have a 16GB PQI thumb drive that I've formatted in FAT32. I've got about 9GB of music on there, in a combination of 128kbit MP3's, VBR MP3's, and WMA's in various fixed and VBR rates. The songs are arranged in folders by artist and album. When I activate shuffle, the shuffle does randomly pick songs across all the folders, but on occasion, the song will stutter while playing for a while, then continue normally. If I turn off shuffle, I can go back and play that same song and it won't stutter.
If I take that same drive and plug it into my wife's 2012 Dodge Journey, it plays fine both on shuffle, and no shuffle. If I copy songs onto another USB drive, same symptom.
Can anybody else try this (or have you seen this already?) and let me know if you can duplicate? Just trying to figure out if I have a bad radio, or if it's a software glitch.
My car is a 1.8L manual hatchback LT with the connectivity package and 6 speaker audio.
