MyLink power problems?

Anyone experience issues with MyLink and not powering on?

I drove to Subway today and it was working fine, went in to get my sandwich, came out and MyLink would not turn on. I thought I could faintly see the MyLink logo on the display but it definitely was not backlit.

Drove back to work, powered car on and off a few times but still could not get radio on. Went inside and answered a few e-mails and then went back outside. Walked out to car, turned car on and still had same problem. Turned car off but turned key to "accessory" and again, the faint MyLink logo showed. Called dealer service and while describing the problem MyLink all of a sudden turned on and started.

All of my favorites were reset and my phone is no longer paired. Sounds to me like an update was pushed down to it OTA, just wondering if anyone else has experienced this so I know
a) it WAS an OTA update OR
b) it's on the fritz and I need to take it in.

Wish I had written down the software version prior to today.

The OTA update does not apply to this vehicle. The Bluetooth is in the radio not the Onstar module. The radio will never recieve any software updates by OTA, It will only happen 2 ways,

USB program update or By Dealer SPS programming

I haven't experienced this issue with my Mylink. I would wait for BRINGO to be available and have the dealer look at your issue and flash for Bringo at the same time. Even if you don't pay for the App, least you have the software module in your deck.

I just had my MyLink swapped out after only having the car for a month for a similar problem the programming was messed up and shut down the xm app and messed with my bluetooth. I took it to one dealer they claimed nothing wrong, it was just a subscription error but xm was gone could not even look up the radio id so they told me take it to the dealer I bought it from.

After taking it to my dealer they said they could not figure out what was wrong since it showed no codes but clearly was not working, so they ordered a new one, each has to be programmed to each car you cannot just throw a used one in. Glad this was covered under warranty because the service guy told me it was a 1500 dollar replacement not including labor YIKES!!
