I just noticed on www.rockauto.com that Dorman offers a new intake manifold (P/N 615-380) that's noticeably different from the original.
Compared to the OE manifold, it has almost no structural ribs and the vacuum bottle is less cylindrical. It still has the tumblers in the runners so performance will likely be the same.
My biggest hope is that it finally offers a better, internal PCV valve.
