To clarify my fuel system request, we need a fuel pump and a fuel pump driver module tune or modification. I’m sure that ZZP is well aware, but we can’t just drop a fuel pump upgrade in there. The ECU is going to need some adjustment. Thanks so much for looking into the wants and needs of the Sonic owners.

Nat, I think RacerX might be close to a solution on the fuel pump front, they are currently testing there car with the fuel pump hanger(w/ 3 diff pump sizes and make it a return system) they made with diff pump/60# injectors plus CAI & ITM they have before they drop there turbo/mani in to test. So i am curious as to what they plan to do, tune the exist if possible OR add a new FP module.
1) Def a alumi water outlet
2) ....... have to think on the second one. Got it, Oil filter relocation adapter for are drop-in so I can make my own setup and place where I want it.
Ya, a fix for the valve cover might be nice.. billet is out of the question as that would cost a perty penny(would def be well over 1k), but maybe a cast alumi (might be cheaper then billet) one with a replaceable pressure regulator diaphragm.
I think those two things only go out as a result of the oem pvc in the mani performing Seppuku. I am hoping long term the RacerX I have with the pvc & my catch can solved this and I wont see those two issues happen... time will only tell.

For those that don't know, we have already released our fuel pump hanger. You can find it on our website racerxfabrication.com/sonic/fuel/fuel-pump-hanger. We offer 3 fuel pump options and a fuel return line kit is available. We are currently running this in our vehicle with our Racer X FPR Bosch adapter at 43.5 psi using 60lb/hr injectors.
I did PM RacerX with a few important (to me) questions. Thanks for the heads up. I’m afraid it won’t work right for me, but we’ll see what they say. I need the ECU to “think” that all the stock emissions equipment is there, and no CELs can be disabled in a tune. I will have to remove and replace my fuel system every year in order to get an inspection if I can’t find a solution to this. Not even one emissions related CEL can be triggered, or be seen as “not ready”.
The valve cover going out because of the IM valve going bad is not necessarily the case. My valve cover diaphragm went bad at 30k miles on my 2018, and I’d already done the IM PCV fix. My thought was some sort of valve that could replace the stock diaphragm in the OEM valve cover, not a whole new cover. I feel that a whole new cover would be cost prohibitive. I’ve considered a DIY fix for it myself, but wanted to see if ZZP, or anyone else, maybe had a better idea. My thought was to remove the stock diaphragm, seal it up, add a 90° fitting to that location, and attach it to a catch can with a check valve. I’m not a PCV expert, so I don’t know if this would be the proper way to fix it.
As for the front crank seal, I believe we probably just need a better quality seal for high boost and high RPM durability.

Everyone knows we can tune the FSCM with HPTuners right? Update the IFR tables for injectors and fuel pump in the FSCM then tune the ECM, should be able to run basically any injectors/fuel pump setup. The FSCM is the same between a Camaro, Vette, and the Sonic...the other platforms are doing it already and the tables are identical (values are different).
Having Readiness Monitors set to Ready and disabling DTCs aren't the same thing. They are related, but changing 1 DTC doesn't automatically mean the Readiness Monitor will not go to Ready/Complete/Pass. I don't know how any state could know what DTCs should/shouldn't be set in a particular car as dealers update things frequently, even on the same car and same ECM OS. Knowing how here in WA testing works, the OBDII test looks for the Readiness Monitors based on VIN. If you know which DTCs to disable, coupled with a proper tune, you will have the Readiness Monitor set to Ready/Pass.

That’s why I’m asking questions. If there’s tuning available already, then great. If the CELs can be switched off while still showing as ready, that’s great too. I’d have no issues if those things worked in the software used for my tune. I’m being tuned by BNR with EFI Live, so I’m not sure if it can do those things the same way as HP Tuners.

Yep, feel free to pick my brain too if you'd like. Don't think of EFILive or HPTuners as anything more than a tool. They can be used with great success with quality calibrators like Jerry at BNR, or botch a tune if a "tooner" gets ahold of your car and don't know what they're doing. All these tools allow is access to different parameters and tables in the ECM (and TCM) code, as they're different companies not all tables/parameters exist in both suites. For the Sonic, HPTuners has more parameters available, but that's not always a good thing. Most calibrators, even on a crazy big turbo setup, have no need to adjust half of them. I can't speak for what or how BNR is creating their tunes, maybe it's worth asking?
Most shops use a combination of both tuning suites (BNR sold HPTuners for a while as well). The benefit of EFILive is the AutoCal which enables remote tuning (without a laptop). HPTuners doesnt have as elegant of a solution as the AutoCal for sending tunes + logs back and forth.
I'm doing 42lb injectors next month (and intake manifold, WGA, handful more things) and will be tuning the FSCM, I should probably start a thread on this...

About the HP tuners and not being able to do remote tunes is untrue. We use HP tuners daily. It is JUST AS EASY as any of the others. You still have to load your file then transfer to your car. Why do you think that about HP tuners? I am totally lost on your thought about them. Have you used one or is this what you think?

I have and use both EFILive and HPTuners regularly. Yes, HPTuners is just as easy to send a remote file out. BUT you need a laptop which a lot of people expecting a handheld flash device don't like to deal with when just flashing or logging a tune. The AutoCal is great for that, can just shove it in the glovebox and forget about it.
I see what you mean re-reading my last post saying the the AutoCal enables remote tuning, I didn't mean that HPTuners doesnt support it just that it's not as elegant. I'll clean up the language..
