Noise insulaiton

Hi everyone!

I'm back from the deads.. I was following a little less the forum so i could stay away from upgrades... too much money! haha I spent to much last year on pedders CO, I'm more than happy with them tho. hehe

I congrats all of you on your mods and tweaking! Nice cars! I'm jealous of many

I'm still looking for spacer so i get my wheel "flush" to the fenders, but my main concern here is noise padding. I did few researchs and found that noise insulation improve greatly the ride quality. I know the sound system could be better but noise padding seems to help alot...

So do you have any tips to which pad is good, and how hard is to apply? Mostly how hard is to open the doors and all the interior of the car... I would like to do the rear first (hatch) but will go for all doors and floor if it isn't too expensive.. I search the forum for DIY post, i didn't found any info about this.
So here i am, looking for your knowledge and insights, does it worth the time/price?

I've put deadener in all doors (inner and outer skin), lined my hatch boot and even sparsely (25%) lined the roof too.
It makes a massive difference.

The doors make the biggest difference to road noise but lining the hatch and 25% roof coverage was best for subwoofer bass.

Yes, that's the inner skin

The outer skin is through the holes in the inner skin of the door.
The inside surface of the outside of the car... If that makes sense.

I only did 50% coverage on the outer skin but total coverage on the inner skin.
Some people do total coverage on both but I think that's a little pointless.

Used Hushmat... Sound Dampening, Vibration Damping, Thermal Insulation for automotive applications - HUSHMAT.

on my doors, inside the trunk and the rear dash. Massive improvement on noise reduction. I'd recommend it.
