P0420 + P0073.. dealer left parts off.

So I drop my car at the dealer ('15 sonic 1.8 5spd) to have the exhaust leak I mentioned looked it. Service guy said it was a cat, and they replaced it under warranty. I get halfway home and the CEL comes on again.
Car seems loud still.
Open the hood, I notice they didn't install my K&N setup at all, the cone was off.
Ok. Go get the car scanned, still has a P0420 cat code along with a P0073 code (ambient air temp sensor). Isn't that the sensor for the radio temp reading?

Anyway, I do more looking, because the car is still a little louder than it was, couldn't find an exhaust leak, but I DID notice they left one exhaust manifold nut basically off...

*really*? It probably stands to reason that some others are loose too, right?

Unless it's a warranty issue, why would you go to a dealer for any service work?

It was a warranty issue. Cat was cracked and replaced.

Did you ever take the heatshield off to check the other nuts?
Or just bring it back in?

Some (not all) dealer "technicians" are sloppy and should have chosen another career. Some time ago, I brought my G6 convertible in for warranty and my mother had to go into the store to get something. I pop the hood to look around and I notice the plastic engine shroud is missing on the car.

I called up the dealer and spoke to the service manager asking him if one of the technicians had a "large part to someone's car on their bench". I hear some noise in the background and one guy says to the service manager that he does (without any apology in his voice). After roaring at the guy at the top of my lungs, I told him in no uncertain words that if I spotted that guy within 10 feet of my car, we would have a very big problem, since what else did he leave off?

Another time, I brought my Sonic in for warranty and they were trying to give me some hard time (before I had the component warranty that they gave me for no charge that I have now). So I drove the car into the service bay and parked it. When the guy told me to move it, I said, "Can't, it's stuck in park. That's what you guys didn't fix the first time. Looks like you've got a situation here". It was fixed right that time....

I would call the dealership manager back and tell them you're expecting it repaired and not by that same guy......
