i have gotten rid of all the chrome on the car with some plasti dip and it came out awesome but all i have left are the chrome around the fog lights, but i wasnt to sure if that would effect the brightness of the fog lights like reflecting off the chrome or what not, i covered all the chrome up with some masking tape and turn the lights on an there seemed to be no effect with the chrome covered so i assume it would be ok to do and not effect brightness, am i correct?

door handel carbon fiber vinyls are on its way should be here this week! all left to do is fog lights.. and trim aroun headlights which will be all done tomorrow thanks to this post!
I think I am confused now.. what part of the fog light area are you wanting to dip/paint? I thought the area around your fog light was chrome but it's black so I am confused what part you are talking about now.
The only part that is chrome in your pictures for the fog lights does affect the light output and I would leave it alone, I thought you were talking about the area around the fog light in the bumper.

the area im talking about is inside the black fog vents are the chrome surrounding the actual light itself, i was wanting to plasti dip the chrome around the light not the actual light glass lense just the chrome and hoping that wouldnt affect the light
Found this pic and it helped me visualize it a little more. It looks like a decorative ring so I don't think it will affect anything.

Haha. I don't own one yet and all my background is in Silverado's and Sierra's so will take me a little to figure these new vehicles out.

which rectangle piece are you referring to? the piece the license plate is mounted on to?
The two separate "rectangle/trapezoid" chrome pieces (Well, yours are black now) on the grille.
Was curious how you plasti-dipped yours.

I plasti dipped the chrome on my fog lights. I don't know what chevy was thinking when they added that chrome around the fog lights on the RS. It makes that area of the car look confusing and weird.
