Possibly moving

Currently my wife and I are thinking about moving out of Michigan to Arizonia. It will be around the Phoenix area for my work. Anyways, for the guys that live in Arizona how is it there? Is it very expensive for living?

Last time I was in Phoenix, it was hot as hell. I would go back though, lots of good off-roading adventures.

My wife and I love off-roading, love the views of the mountains, and we both hate winter/snow. And we are used to hear cause Michigan during the summer it's always really humid. I know the heat out in Arizonia is different but it doesn't have humidity like Michigan.

No humidity just means you don't realize just how hot it is until you touch something and burn the crap out of yourself or pass out from dehydration. My FIL lives there, and he likes it. I personally hate the heat there, and would find myself staying inside all the time.

Phoenix is like Vegas only hotter. It does have a harsher monsoon season though so if you don't like flash floods and haboobs then it's not for you! A little north of Phoenix is Sedona which is really nice.

We're looking more towards Gilbert, az which is on the east side of Phoenix. And we are looking there cause I can just transfer for work. Same with Tucson, Az.
