Power Window button Sticking down.

Anyone had this issue?

It's happening more and more. Still under warranty with 9,600 miles on it and 1 year left. I'm just worried if it gets stuck down and stays that way, that it may drain the battery. I only drive it about once a week or so....

In a way, I'd like to do it myself, if they gave me the switch to replace it, because after reading another thread, I'd like to take it apart and cover the connections for the part of the switch that does the auto up and auto down with just some tape, to disable that feature.

Ours just started doing this on out SEMA trip 2 weeks ago. Our son drove it in Vegas and saw it also. We are at 51,300+ . I'm going to spray something now while you got same problem. I have an extended W for 60,000.

Sticking, what makes you think it is sticking? Does it show current draw after the window is down?
Or are you assuming it is sticking because of the auto down feature?

Mine does this... so silicon spray is the answer?

Mine did this, dealer had to replace the switches under warranty twice to find a set that didn't stick.

Mine used to. Took two years to break in. It doesn't stick anymore. Didn't do anything to it.

It's still doing this. But so randomly I doubt I could get it to happen at the dealers.

When I press it, it stays down. Doesn't pop up. ever. I have to pry it back up and I worry that if I forget to, it will do some battery drain. Although it probably gets disconnected when I shut the car off.

I'm on my last year of the warranty, so I want to fix a few things, this being one of them. The switch itself was quoted to me at $23.00 from the dealer if I want to do it myself. May even be found cheaper. I just don't want to do all the work of taking it apart and putting it back together if I don't have to.

Just wondering if the silicone others have used kept it fixed, or did it come back?

I have trouble with the drivers window button sticking in the down position when depressed also the shifter button sticking for quiet some time making me or my wife sit in the car until it released. Looked at a couple of youtube videos and took the shifter apart, yes including breaking a couple of attachment points, but nothing that did not keep it from holding in place when re-assembled. Anyway The fix I used was not trimming rubber away from the shifter above the button, but was to buy some 3in1 dry lubricant spray. I sprayed both buttons one at a time and actuated the buttons to work in the dry lube while the propellant was still wet. Worked like a champ, both buttons work perfectly for now, how long your guess is as good as mine, but none the less they are working great.

It does say "contains petroleum distillates", but also states safe for most plastics.

********UPDATE***********
The shifter button quit working a few hours later, I coated it again and just checked it and it is still working. Shifter button has stopped working for a while now I'll have to take it apart again. The window button has worked since the first spraying of dry lube.
