I'm looking for a racing/aftermarket cam for the 1.4 turbo. Now I've looked around and I'm not sure if its me being blind, or what, but I cant find anything. Any help greatly appreciated.

There hasn't been anyone that has done the upgrade to cam yet, from what I hear preloader has been looking around but he can't find anyone due do the cam because the way that's our cam is set up.

Since no one can get ahold of the GM cam blanks for custom grinding the profiles, none are available.
Because we have VVT the cam shaft is much harder and costly to recreate.
The only possibility I can think of at the moment is sending out your cams to have the lobes welded up and then ground down to a custom dimension. Not sure if anyone will do that either.

The 3 posts above me clarify things well.
A weld up and re grind is currently the only option. Some companies are willing to create entire cam replacements...... But only in batches of 200+. I imagine there are only maybe 2 or 3 enthusiasts here that would be willing to make the effort and accept the expense.
The demand just isn't great enough......... yet.

that's what I keep getting. I did find a company that would do it but I'd have to send my cams to him.

Put that $250 toward an eBay engine, and pull those cams and send them in.

I vote for this.
When I looked up the 1.8 cams I got $70 a piece. Maybe I looked at the wrong thing. I'll have to check
I have hookups with people @ Crower here in San Diego. I have had many custom cams made (both new and regrinds). I can speak with my guy there and see what they say.

Turbo cars usually don't need cams until they are running a huge turbo at high RPM. The stock cam provides the low-mid range flow that helps spool the turbo and any high RPM flow restriction typical of a stock valvetrain are easily negated by MOAR BOOST.
That said, "huge turbo" and "high RPM" are relative terms and modding a 1.4L that runs out of breath before 5,000 RPM might see you needing more lift and/or duration pretty quickly.
