radiator fan _Sonic 1.8L

I can't figure out why my radiator fan does not run on the low speed. I swapped the relay with another . There is 11.6V across the relay socket at pin 85 and 86 even when temp is 50 degrees celcius. The only way the fan works is if I jump the relay (connect 87 and 30) . I have Changed the radiator fan already.
Any ideas would help as I have not been able to solve this puzzle.

Pins 87 and 30 are the normally open "relay".

Check to see if you have voltage from 85 and 86 to ground.

One side of the coil is the trigger side an the other side is to ground.

If you have no voltage to the trigger side that is a different issue.

If you have voltage to both sides of the coil pins then the relay is bad.

In the rest position the relay should not show potential voltage between 85 and 86.

Looks like it is working now. The fan went on at around 106-107 celcius...I assume this is the low speed at this temp. When the fan was on, I pulled out the relay and the fan went off..put the relay back in and the fan went on..So looks like it is working OK..Thanks
