Rear windshield wiper fluid sprayer not working...

I've had my car for about 2 weeks, and all of a sudden when i tried to clear the back window, I noticed the wipers were wiping dry. The front ones are working fine, but no fluids are going to the back windshield wipers. Anyone else with this problem? I hate to waste half the day taking it to the dealership to fix, if it a quick fix i can do myself.

In my HHR, the rear washer would stop spraying before the front washer as an indicator that you were getting low on washer fluid as the intake popints for the rear and front washers were at different levels in the washer fluid tank. Maybe the Sonic is set up the same way.

That could be it. Could it be plugged up as well? When i turn the front ones on, they work, when i turn the back on, nothing happens (but you can see fluids dripping from the car from somewhere). Also, I did refill it...full.

When I first got my saturn back in 1998 I traveled from here in alabame north to visit family in Iowa. At some point the whole washer bottle froze in the colder weather. A dealer in Iowa had to thaw it out and fill it with 100% washer fluid. The dealer also stated they spend something like $600 per month on washer fluid. Apparently down here in warm(er) alabama they want to save the $600 each month.

I wish it was a cold snap or something weather related, but I'm in San Antonio and it's been averaging like 75degrees. Got an appointment with dealership tomorrow, once they fix it, I'll let y'all know what the problem was for future reference.

Maybe dumb question, but you are pushing stalk forward, right? It took about 6 or 7 seconds before the sprayer got fluid.

Yeah, maybe the first time you use it you may have to hold it on longer?

I already tried all that, like I said it was working fine just the day b4. No biggy, I'll find out tomorrow what the deal is.

Fixed...

Took it in to the dealership this morning, it was in and out in about 20 mins. The hose to the rear windshield wiper fluid dispenser was not installed correctly and therefore came loose. Re-installed properly, and is good to go.

Back to 100% happy with Sonic again.
