Removing rust stains?

Anyone know of a good product for removing rust stains?

This winter was way too cold and snowy to try and keep my car clean. Unfortunately the lack of cleaning resulted in rust stains on my rims from the rotors. Normal car wash soap and elbow grease won't touch the stains. Before I try any industrial cleaners and possibly damaging the paint/powder coating (not sure which) I figured I would ask here.

Try a Mr. Clean magic eraser maybe. I'd work on the inside of the wheel for a paint check before going to the outside.

Isn't magic eraser an abrasive, like a very fine sandpaper? I'll try it on the inside like you said to see if it does any damage.

I'm going to go out and wash, clay bar, and wax the sonic today. I'll give the magic eraser a try also. I should wait another week or two. My blue car will be green in a few days. It's just been bugging me that I haven't given it any love lately, or driven it much. I went from driving 50-60 miles per day to 60 so far this month.

Another thing you could try is https://www.dipyourcar.com/brake-dust-professional-cat/, literally all you do is spray it on, let it sit, and rinse it off.
Works amazing, even gets brake dust off the calipers and drums, anything you spray it on really.

I'll try that next time. The magic eraser worked great. I do have to do the inside of the rims next tire rotation.

How do you know that?!

Last year my car was keyed and sharpied on a day that we had a 14 man lay off. Apparently some people think I have some power with the shop to make calls. NOPE. I am just another employee.

I know where to look, but there is a faint sharpie line left. Nobody else notices it though.

It continued onto the rear door as well.

I used Ospho on a truck's wheels I was detailing once because it was so bad... lol

It ate the stains right off. Technically, a bottle of coke should work too. Let it soak on the rust stains - The phosphoric acid will eat that stuff right off along with the lining of your stomach.

I couple seasons ago when I switched over to my steel wheel snow tire combination on my truck for the winter, my Hawk brake pads on my Brembo's eat through my new steel wheels paint finish on the inside down to the rim.
